Vasiliy spent years in the Airborne and Special Operations community before moving into technical infrastructure. The transition wasn't a pivot. It was the same discipline applied to a different domain: clarity under pressure, planning for failure, executing without shortcuts, the skills that mattered in operations are the skills that build resilient engineering systems.

He founded Five Nines Consulting in 2024 to bring that operational discipline to building technology products. The company is small on purpose, focused on shipping things that work and taking on engagements where careful engineering changes the outcome.

What he's building today

Vasiliy leads engineering on PromptSentry, FNC's flagship product, while keeping FNC's wider engineering work in view, the consulting engagements in AI infrastructure, cloud, and security that the company takes on alongside the product. PromptSentry protects AI applications from prompt injection, jailbreaks, PII leaks, and explicit content, with benchmarked attack defense at 98.92% across 1,850 adversarial prompts. Over the longer term, he is designing a veteran training framework to bring more disciplined operators into engineering careers, starting with veterans, through hands-on technical mentorship.
